Pension Funds and Insurance
We are particularly active in pension funds and the insurance industry through our annual Swiss Pensions Conferences (SPC). The SPC is the leading independent event for pensions’ decision makers in Switzerland and CFA Society Switzerland’s flagship event since 2012. SPC is conducted annually with two instalments, covering the French speaking part in Lausanne (mostly in French) and the German speaking part in Ruschlikon (mostly in German).
Based in Lausanne and Zurich, two agenda teams composed of volunteer pension experts from highly recognized institutions, convene every year to approach the unique annual motto from two different angles, applying CFA Society Switzerland’s unique Peers 4 Peers approach. This affords more than 100 delegates who attend both conferences the opportunity to grasp the subtle differences in practice and approach between the two parts of the country.
SPCs are recognized by the Swiss Association of Actuaries and the Swiss Chamber of Pension Fund Experts as a qualified activity with 5 continuing education credits.
In 2020, we are organizing a number of SPC webinars instead of in-person conferences which needed to be cancelled because of the restrictions caused by Covid-19.
