About CFA Society Switzerland
CFA Society Switzerland boasts over 3,000 members in Switzerland, against barely 100 at inception in 1996. It is the largest CFA Institute society in continental Europe and the ninth largest globally. With more than 1,500 candidates taking the rigorous Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®) exam in Switzerland each year, the society’s impact on the Swiss investment community is self-evident.
Formerly known as the Swiss Society of Investment Professionals, CFA Society Switzerland is a non-profit organization set up in 1996 as an association under Swiss Law and run by a board of volunteers. It was the first society of CFA charterholders in the EMEA region to be directly affiliated with the CFA Institute.
It is important to know that CFA Society Switzerland – like all 157 local societies – is a separate entity of CFA Institute, which shares the vision of CFA Institute, while at the same time ensuring that there is true local content & flavor. CFA Institute now has over 170,000 members and cannot reach its mission and vision without the support of local societies.
